The games are on, and the Olympics haven’t even started yet. Companies like Nike and Addidas are fighting for a fair share in Chinas shoe market. With the Olympic start nearing, sneaker companies have been airing commercials in China in hopes of gaining a bigger share in the fast growing market.
Sneaker companies are marketing specific shoes for certain Olympic sports, in hopes of winning over new customers. They are embedding themselves in the Chinese culture in hopes of becoming a household name. With the decline in the US economy, sneaker companies are looking to China, and it’s growing population, to make them the profits they need and China may soon become No. 2 in their markets.
