Join your credit union!
One of the best financial institutions to belong to are credit unions, often affiliated with your employer. One of the best reasons to belong is the great rates of interest. If you are saving, the interest is usually higher than a bank, and if you borrow money from them you will find that rate lower than most other lenders.
A credit union is a coop owned and under the control of it’s members. They operate to provide their members some economical means to borrow or save. Many credit unions are operated as not for profit institutions and monies taken in through loans are returned to those with savings accounts with them. It is to the benefit of the entire membership to take advantage of all it has to offer.
