My view on tiki bars

Amidst all the Tiki bars you can find in the world one thing is commonly shared by all of them, which is the Island theme.  This has the following: a trap for fish, boating and underwater gears, shells, sea star, wood washed ashore, and anything that is on the seaside.

There has always been this mystical quality about Tiki bars, which, besides making it just a practical bar, gives a calm and serene feeling, reminding us of beautifully palm filled beaches and of fisherman, providing us with an atmosphere, which invites story telling over rum-filled drinks. Although, playing the original music by famous artists like Arthur Lyman, Martin Denny and Les Baxter is the ideal thing to do at Tiki Lounge, but any traditional Hawaiian music will prove no less in setting the mood right. Tiki Torches give off mysterious and exotic ambiance and are simply bamboo sticks and paper lanterns. With the island themed background décor this type of lighting will enhance the jungle hut feel of your Tiki Bar.

If you want the atmosphere of a tiki paradise in your own backyard, a tiki bar is an absolute must have.  While some people choose to buy them others feel that is a bit expensive and turn to the internet for resources on how to build a tiki bar yourself.

No Tiki Bar is complete without at least one Tiki Statue or Tiki Mask which are excellent symbols of the primitive way of life on the islands. Pay tribute to the Polynesian gods with some of these artifacts which come in just about any form you could imagine. While being able to find an authentic tiki statue or mask may be a great decoration, it is very difficult and pricey, however there are many other alternatives. Some drinks you are likely to find behind a Tiki Bar are Mai Tais, Scorpion Bowls, and Singapore Slings. Tiki Bars shall need any fruity & colorful drinks made with rum or pineapple. All drinks should be served out of Tiki Mugs and mixed with tropical fruit and garnished with fruit, fresh mint and a paper umbrella keeping with Tiki tradition. Decorated with tropical decorations such as figures and faces, tiki mugs make excellent ceramic decorations and utensils.Tiki bars often serve grilled food with South Pacific flair, such as fruit-glazed meats, kabobs and anything flavored with coconut. Trader’s Vic, one of the original Tiki Bars pioneered fusion cuisine by introducing island flavors to Chinese and American dishes which opened a whole new variety of foods that can be served at Tiki Bars and still keep within the tradition. A classic cuisine example for your Tiki Bar is the sweet and sour chicken en brochette or any seafood applied with sweet savor and many fresh fruits will do.
