History of Bottled Water
The history of bottled water dates back as far as the 15th century, bottled water was enjoyed throughout Europe during this period of time. The bottled water boom did not begin until the 19th century. In 1845 the Poland Spring Bottled Wter Company was formed in Maine when holidayers to the resort wanted to bring some of the water back to their home towns. Perrier mineral water was first bottled in 1863 along with Deer Park which began in 1873. Deer Park in western Maryland proved to be so popular that even President Taft vacationed there. Bottled water was even more popular during the 20th century.
