I bought my first Penn Reel about a decade ago. That was the 4300 model. I think it may have been phased out already because I no longer see any of those in the market today. This Penn Reel was such a bargain at less than a hundred dollars at that time! Even better, it is still in good working condition to this day. I have caught hundreds of fish with that reel! Granted, I have always been fanatical about maintenance works with all of my gadgets. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why my Penn Reel has lasted this long. My cousin, however, says that no matter how much care I put into the maintenance of a fishing reel, it would not make much of a difference if it weren’t made of sturdy stuff!

It was dark outside and I can’t see a thing as I peep through the shutters. I was worried because I heard some weird noises. I need to get back to sleep. I have an important day tomorrow. My point of view finally won out and the Significant Other agreed (albeit reluctantly!) to having the kitchen remodel done by a professional contractor and to forget trying to do it ourselves. We are both much too busy to have pulled it off so I’m heaving a huge sigh of relief and now we’re in to a planning phase with the contractor we chose.  It’s a reputable firm locally with a ton of references some of which we’ve checked out.  Sure don’t want to end up with a horror story like some I’ve heard about. Our contractor recommends that we get Kitchen Cabinets by KraftMaid.  I went to the general store and looked at some of the model installations there and they sure look wonderful.  I must stay practical though and get this done right.
