Have you ever thought to buy car insurance online? I never had, but I heard my neighbor talking about it at a neighborhood picnic last night. It seems he was fed up with his local insurance agency. From the story I overheard, it seems he thought his agent had taken advantage of their friendship on his last car insurance renewal. I have quite achievable targets when it comes to owning my dream car. I don’t really crave supercars with huge engines and space age looks. At the end of summertime I made up one’s mind to take the plunge and buy a Meguiars G220 Dual Action Polishing Machine for my Car Cleaning. In the end it cost me about £200 as I bought some Menzerna polishes, 3 Sonus SFX pads and a smaller 3.5″ backing plate so that I could use  the 4″ spot pads for detailed areas.With no experience but some hefty research on the internet, understanding a few PDF guides, seeing videos on YouTube and reading a lot of forum posts. I considered the plunge and decided that I’d try my bonnet firstly. At least if I made a hash of it then it was easily substituted.Beginning with the Sonus SFX 2 pad and the Menzerna polish with the least cut,off I went and I was astonished how speedily I got into a rhythm and constantly checking over my work and checking the panel temperature with my hand . After a few passes I put the Meguiars G220 down and buffed off the polish I was genuinely astounded how smooth the polished area was likened to the area that wasn’t, which I thought was actually smooth anyway after I had clayed it. The bulk of swirl marks had gone and the finish on that area of the bonnet was lot sleeker than the other half. I was now somewhat happy with my technique and was  willing to machine polish my entire car.Before I experienced chance to machine polish my own car, a acquaintance inquired if I wanted to machine polish his black Astra. When I had a better inspection of his black Astra you could find that it was really heavily swirled and when the sun shone on the car it really let it down in show. I said I should be capable to polish off or reduce a majority of the swirl marks and make it look a lot better.It easily took me 5 hours to machine polish the Astra but boy was it worth it, a lot of the swirl marks where heavily reduced with just a few passes of the machine polisher and I was really stunned at how well the car came up.  The Astra was a company car before so frequently got submitted to going through automatic car washings which I would guess would be the main reason for all  the swirl marks on it.
