Step One — Learning How to Take Care of the Earth

Attending the LEED certification class is not a requirement for attaining LEEd certification. However, the failure rate for those who take the exam without classroom study is very low. Just ask my friend and contractor Joe Grisser. He had been employing environmentally friendly techniques for years. He said he didn’t have the time to take a class. He jumped into the testing site and landed flat. The questions on the exam made him realize just how little he did know about protecting our resources. He admits now that without the classroom, he would never have acquired his LEEDs certification. Since more and more people are asking if he holds that distinction, he feels it was time well spent.
