Most people have people they have business relationships with. Often those relationships are critical to the business and have worked out particularly well to the point of feeling like a partnership and friendship. There’s no better way to repay these business friends than with a business gift. However, it’s easy to send the wrong message with a gift. One man was guilty of sending a gift certificate to a steakhouse to a vegetarian. He obviously didn’t know that side of the man’s life. It is really more beneficial and less potentially damaging to give general gifts like food or business gift baskets. You don’t want to accidentally harm a relationship for having good intentions, but bad deliverance.
